Use options on the Resolve3D Autofocus tab to automatically determine autofocus parameters or to manually set up each of the parameters.
Open the Autofocus settings options by clicking the Settings
icon on the Resolve3D window and clicking the Autofocus
tab.

Contrast calculation method |
Select method for contrast calculation. Fluorescence uses light on dark contrast, Brightfield uses dark on light contrast, and Auto sets the contrast calculation automatically based on the illumination method used (EX or Trans). |
Autofocus Z test step (um) |
Sets the increment in Z for the autofocus test step. |
Maximum Z test range (um) |
The entire Z focus range, centered on the starting point. |
Post-autofocus Z offset (um) |
Empirically determined value that is applied after autofocus is complete. |
Calibrate UltimateFocus for plate scanning |
Calibrates the optional UltimateFocus feature for the current combination of Lens, Polychroic, and Plate Model for plate scanning and browsing. You'll be asked to enter the Minimum and Maximum Z Sweep as well as the Step Size. |
