Use the Calculate OTF dialog box to calculate an optical transfer function (OTF) when a measured OTF is unavailable. Measured OTFs usually work better than calculated ones. Calculated OTFs are most successful for low power, air lenses.
Open Calculate OTF by choosing Conversions | Calculate OTF from the main softWoRx menu.

OTF File |
Enter the name of the new OTF after changing the numerical aperture, index of refraction, and emission wavelength. (The OTF file name is automatically generated from these values). |
|
Numerical Aperture |
Specify the default numerical aperture (the default is 1.40). |
|
Index of Refraction |
Specify the index of refraction (the default is 1.515). |
|
Emission Wavelength |
Specify the wavelength (the default is 528 nanometers). |
