Before you attempt to connect to a DMS database, you’ll need to have a user name and password for the database you want to use. Check with your system administrator for this information.
To connect to a DMS database:
From the softWoRx main menu, select File | Connect to DMS Database. The Connect to DMS Database login box is displayed.
Enter the name of the host computer in the Database Host Name field.
Enter your user name and password in the appropriate fields and click Connect. A pop-up message confirms that you are connected to the database.
If the connection fails, make sure you are using the correct user name and password combination for the specific database.
