Queue Manager Options

Use the Queue Manager to assemble a list (a Queue) of deconvolution jobs to be run one after another. You can manipulate the queue and postpone running the jobs.

CAUTION If you set jobs up with the Queue Manager but then quit the Queue Manager or log out, the job requests are lost.

Open the Queue Manager by choosing Utilities | softWoRx Queue Manager from the softWoRx main menu. (The Queue Manager automatically opens when you run a deconvolution with the Add To Queue option selected in Run Options.)

Field

Description...

Current Job

The name of the currently running job.

Cancel Job

Allows you to cancel the currently running job. This also stops the queue, so the next job on the queue is not executed until the queue is restarted.

Pause After Job

Pauses the processing in the queue after this job is completed.

Queued Jobs

Displays a scrolling list of jobs that are awaiting execution. When the job queue is started, these jobs are executed in order from top to bottom.

Start Now

Starts executing the jobs listed in the queue. As each job finishes, execution of the next is started until each job in the list has completed.

Start Later

Activates spin box controls to let you specify a time to start running the jobs that are in the queue.

Note Be careful of the AM/PM switch. If the current local time is 5 PM and you set the starting time to 4 PM, the queue starts running 23 hours later.

CAUTION If you log out before the queue runs, you will lose all of the job requests.

Delete My Queued Jobs

Deletes the selected job(s) from the queued jobs list.

Quit

Quits the Queue Manager. If there is a job running or you have jobs pending in the queue, you will be asked to confirm that you'd like to quit. All requests are lost when you quit.
