To use Data Inspector tools together:
The Data Inspector includes several tools for examining the intensity data in the image file. You can simultaneously view a graphical image, a table of intensity values, a 3-D graph, and a histogram of intensity values and change the ROI (region of interest) that is displayed in each.
Open an image file in the Image window.
From the Image window menu, choose Data Inspector | Tools to open the Data Inspector window.
Click Show 3D Graph. On the right side of the graph, select display options and use the mouse and key combinations to rotate or resize the graph.
Click Show Histogram.
To change the appearance of the histogram, click Graph Properties and change the attributes in the Graph Properties window.
To change the parameters of the histogram, click Options and change the parameters in the Histogram Calculations window.
Arrange the Image window, the Data Inspector, the Histogram, and the 3D Data graph on the screen.
Click Select Box and drag the mouse pointer across the region of interest in the Image window to select a region of interest (ROI). (The ROI is a square region of the image that you can set and move to visually examine details of specific areas.)
To move the region of interest, position the mouse in the selected area, hold down the left button and drag the mouse pointer. (The display in each window changes automatically as you move the ROI).

Tip You can change the size of the ROI by clicking Select Box and selecting another area or entering the number of pixels in the Columns/Rows fields. |
