softWoRx provides the following tools that you can use to examine intensity data, measure distances between data points, model data, calculate Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET), analyze colocalization, and analyze Fluorescence Recovery After Photo Bleaching (FRAP) data:
Tools for Examining Intensity Data allow you to display image intensity and intensity ratio data from a region of interest (ROI) in the Image window in various formats. You can also display line profiles, calculate statistics, and find minimum or maximum point values.
Measure Distance allows you to measure distances between points in one Z plane or between points in many different Z planes.
Modeling tools can be used to create volume models and line models that can help you to understand the 3 Dimensional nature your data.
FRET Analysis is used to calculate crosstalk, calculate FRET, and analyze FRET results.
Colocalization tools include Simple Colocalization and ROI based Colocalization. Simple colocalization generates a product image of two channels and calculates a scatter plot and Pearson Coefficient of Correlation. Region-Of-Interest (ROI) based colocalization allows you to create ROI polygons from which a scatter plot and Pearson Coefficient of Correlation are derived.
FRAP Analysis provides a three channel output image file, a JPEG file that contains a plot of the intensity before and after the event, and a log file (in a text format) that contains the analysis results.
