Use Lighting options to select lighting effects. Lighting enhances the three dimensional feel of the model when the objects are wire or solid cylinders or objects created with 3D Object Builder.
Open Lighting Options by choosing View | Options from the 3D Model window menu and then clicking Lighting Options.

Smooth Shading |
Specify smooth shading. if lighting is on, by default, smooth shading is used. Unselect for flat shading. |

Play with the brightness and contrast settings to get the effect you like. |

Shininess |
Manipulate how shiny objects appear. |

Transparency |
Set the transparency of objects that are being displayed as transparent. |

Light Position X and Y |
Modify the position of the virtual light that is aimed at the rotation center of the model (using the these sliders). |
