Image display mode

Determine which window and wave to use for image display. Five modes are currently available:

None displays images in the current window and wave.

Scratch displays all images in the default data collection window (window 21).

Auto Grayscale displays images in a separate window for each emission filter.

Auto Color displays images in a different wave for each emission filter. All images are displayed in window 21, except when using a Point-Visiting macro. With Point Visiting, a different window is used for each point.

Point Track opens a separate window for each visited point in a Point Visiting experiment.

Window

Specify the number of the active display window. Select a new window to change where the next image is displayed.

Wave

Specify the number of the active display wave (channel). Select a new wave to change the display window channel.

Calculate statistics

Calculate image intensity statistics. (Deselecting this feature improves readout speed.)

Calculate histogram

Automatically scale the histogram width.

Auto histogram range

Use automatic histogram ranging. When selected, the histogram ranges from the minimum to the maximum intensity. When deselected, the histogram range remains at its current settings.

Display images

Display images when the Acquire button is clicked or an experiment is running. Occasionally, you may need to deselect this option to improve performance.

Deconvolve preview images

View instantly processed 2D image previews that closely resemble images processed with advanced 3D image restoration techniques. This option is available only for DeltaVision systems.

Auto intensity scale

Use automatic scaling of the image intensity between the minimum and maximum brightness. (This switch applies only to the appearance of the image, not the actual data.)

Acquire after point visit

Automatically acquire an image when the Visit Point option is selected.

Show alignment target (cross-hairs)

Displays cross-hairs over the data collection window indicating the location of the image center.
