Use the Experiment Macro Editor to create or edit custom macros (command scripts) that control the DeltaVision microscope. (Although most Experiment Macros can be generated using the Experiment Designer, you may need to create custom Macros for certain types of experiments.)
Tip: The best way to get started is to use the Experiment Designer to generate a macro and then modify it with the Experiment Macro Editor. |
Open the Experiment Macro Editor by clicking the Experiment
icon in the Resolve3D window to open the Design/Run Experiment window
and then choosing File | Edit in the Design/Run Experiment
window.

Menu Bar |
The File menu contains commands to open and save Experiment Macro files. (This includes the Save & Quit option that saves the macro file with the current name.) The Edit menu has commands for manipulating text. The Search menu provides search and replace capabilities.
You can also open a reference macro from the File menu and copy commands from the reference macro into your macro. |

Specify a search and replace pattern. (You will need to enter text in these fields before you use the Search | Replace text menu command.) |
Status Area |
The text area below the Search & Replace fields provides you with status and hint information. |
The Macro Text Area |
The text area below the Status Area is the main working area of the Macro Editor. |
Commands List |
The list of available commands. When you click a command, information about the command is displayed in the Status Area. If you double click a command or select the Use button below this list, the command is inserted in the Macro Text Area at the cursor. |
