Region Details

Use the Region Details window to specify options that apply to the output image. Open the Region Details window by clicking the Details button from various other windows.

Dimensions

Indicate the size of the input data. This field shows the number of X and Y samples (Columns and Rows), the number of Z sections, and the number of Time Points.

View Header Labels

View the Input data set's Header Label information.

X/Y/Width/
Height

Specify the starting X and Y and Width and Height of the region of interest. You can type the values in or use the Select Region button (if the Input is a window) to define this rectangular area.

Z (Start
/End/Inc)

Specify the Start and End Z sections to process. You may also specify an increment to skip sections. (For example, if you specify an increment of 3, you'll process sections 1, 4, 7... of the input data.)

Time (Start
/End/Inc)

Specify the Start and End time points to process. You can also specify an increment to skip time points. (For example, if you specify an increment of 3, you'll process Time Points 1, 4, 7... of the input data.)

Data Type

Control the output data type by choosing one of the following options:

  • 1 byte integer  provides 8 bits of dynamic range (255 possible values).

  • 2 byte signed integer  provides 16 bits of dynamic range (values of -32768 to 32767).

  • 2 byte unsigned integer  provides 16 bits of dynamic range (values of 0 to 65535).

  • 4 byte floating point provides very large dynamic range.

  • No Change sets the output data type to the same type that is used for the input data.

Note Complex images consist of a real and imaginary component, both of which are 32-bit floating point values. Complex images aren't commonly used in softWoRx.

Display In Color

Display the output data in color. If not selected, the data is displayed in grayscale with only one wavelength visible at a time.

The default behavior is to use color if the input data is coming from a color image window or a file with two or three wavelengths. Otherwise, the switch is Off. You can modify this default behavior in the Default Color Mode option list on the User Parameter dialog box.

Header Label

Enter descriptive information in this field. This information is added to the Header Labels list of the output image file. It can contain up to 10 lines with 80 characters each. If there are already 10 (the maximum) labels in the header, the last one is overwritten.
