Resolve3D Files Options

Use options on the Resolve3D Settings File tab to set the image output directory, set the directory where experiment macros are stored, and use auto incrementing of file names. Set these parameters before you run an experiment.

Open the Files settings options by clicking the Settings Icon_Settings.jpg icon on the Resolve3D window and clicking the Files tab.

use

To...

Data folder

Change the destination directory for Resolve3D output images. If the Data folder is temporary button is selected, this field specifies a destination directory for only the current Resolve3D session. If not, the new destination directory is used for future sessions.

Experiment macros folder

Change the directory where your Experiment Macros are stored.

Data folder is temporary

Specify that changes made to the destination directory in the Data folder field apply only to the current Resolve3D session. Future sessions will use the destination directory that is specified in the Data Directory field in the User Parameters dialog box.

This option should be selected in environments where several users are running the microscope using a single system login. Data folders can be created for each user under a common parent folder. As each user starts Resolve3D, they can choose to use their own folder for that session.

This option can be deselected in environments where each user uses their own system login. When users log on, the system automatically uses the directory that was used in the last Resolve3D session.

Note Users who have their own system login may choose to select this option so that they can specify a temporary data directory for the session (e.g., /data1/username/date).

Auto-increment file names

Appends a serialized number to the base file name each time that you run an experiment.

Convert to 2 byte signed integer

Converts image data to 2 byte signed integer for use with third-party software.
