To set Straight tool save options:

Use these instructions to choose how to save intensity data for straightened objects.

  1. On the Straight tool window, click Save Options to open the Save Slice Data options window.

  2. In the Action list, choose which information to save. The available options are:

  3. Don't Save - don't save any information.

Sum - sum all of the grouped slice intensities and write the results.

Average - write out the average intensity of the grouped slices.

  4. In the Group Every field, select whether slice data are grouped as Pixels or Microns.

  5. Click Close to close the Save Slice Data options window.

Notes

  • A text file is written with a list of intensity values for each object. A slice is a group of samples equal to the object's width. The intensity values for each slice may be summed or averaged. For instance, if you have a model object that intersects 125 voxels in the data volume and is set to be 13 pixels wide, the straightened output will have 125 slices that are 13 pixels wide. The slice output text file will consist of 125 values that are sums or averages of the 13 samples making up each slice.

  • In the example above, if you choose to group every 25 pixels, the result will be 5 summed or averaged intensity values for each wavelength.
