Use the following shortcuts as necessary to increase work efficiency:
The image icons can be used in many ways:
To view an image, double-click the image icon to start softWoRx (if it isn't already running) and open an image in the Image window.
To replace the contents of an Image window, drag an image icon from the desktop or a directory view window and drop it in the drawing area of the Image Window.
To open a window with summary information about the image, click on the image icon with the right mouse button and choose Open With | softWoRx Image Info on the context sensitive menu.
To enter the file associated with the icon in the Input or Output fields, drag and drop the icon into these text fields.
In the upper left corner of each Image window is a label with the number of the current window. You can drag that number (with the middle or left mouse button) to the Input or Output field just as you can with an image file icon.
Window labels are also displayed on the main softWoRx menu. You can use the middle button to drag a label to an Input or Output field. You can also click a label to bring a buried window to the top of the stack of windows.
Some of the common functions in window menus have keyboard accelerators with which they are associated. For example, in the Image window, you can hold down the Ctrl key and press the C key to toggle between color and grayscale image drawing styles.
The softWoRx menus can be detached from the menu to create small floating windows. This can be particularly useful in applications where you need to continually refer to functions in the same menu. The tear-off menu is denoted with a thin dashed line along the top of the menu. To tear the menu off, move the cursor down to the dashed line and choose it.
