To process a DIC image:

If you acquired a reference image when you acquired your image data, you can combine the reference image with a 3D projection of the data. (You can use these instructions for new data or for legacy data that was acquired on older DeltaVision systems.)

  1. From the main softWoRx menu, choose View | Quick Projection to open the Quick Projection window.

  2. Click Input and browse to the _R3D.dv or _D3D.dv file that contains the image data.

  3. In the Output field, specify a directory and file name for the 2D projection.

  4. Enter the sections to include in the projection in the Number of Sections to Average field or select All.

  5. In the Method list, choose Max Intensity.

  6. Click Do It to create the 2D projection.

  7. From the main softWoRx menu, choose Edit | Image Fusion to open the Image Fusion window.

  8. Click Image 1 and browse to the file in which you saved the 2D projection.

  9. Click Image 2 and browse to the reference image file.

  10. In the Output field, specify a directory and file name.

  11. Under Fusion Options, select Append Wavelengths.

  12. Click Do It to combine the images.
