To render a volume using the RGB Opacity Method:

  1. Open the desired image file.

  2. From the softWoRx main menu, choose View | Blend Colors.

  3. In the Input field, enter the Image window number.

  4. In the Method option list, select Max Opacity.

  5. Select the Opacity option and click Do It.

  6. In the softWoRx main menu, click View | Volume Viewer.

  7. In the Input field, enter the Image window number of the blended image and click Select Region.

  8. Draw a rectangle around the region of interest, by dragging the mouse to form a rectangle. You may want to scroll through the Z sections to insure the region of interest includes all the image information that you want to include.

  9. From the Method option list, select RGB Opacity.

  10. Adjust the Movie Options.

  11. Click Do It to begin processing the image data. As softWoRx renders the image, the Generating Projections message appears in the Status Bar.

  12. Use one of the following methods to view the projection:

    Adjust the vertical Z scroll bar
    -or-
    Choose
    View | Movie from the Output Image window and deselect Paused at the bottom of the Movie window.
