To save a .dv file:

  1. From the Image window, choose File | Save.

  2. In the Input field, enter an input file or window number.

Tip You can specify an existing window in three ways: 1) Enter the window number, 2) Use the middle mouse button to click and drag on one of the Image Window buttons in the main softWoRx menu, or 3) Click and drag from the Image Window number indicator in the upper left hand corner of the Image Window.

  3. In the Output field, enter an output file or window. If the window or file exists, you will need to choose whether to overwrite the data or append the new data as new wavelengths.

  4. If you want to save a region of a window, select it as follows: Click Region and select an area in the Image window by dragging the mouse across the area. Adjust the rectangle you've created until it contains the desired area. Then click outside the Image window with the mouse. (Selecting a region is optional and you can do this only when your input is a window.)

  5. Click Details to open the Region Details window. Specify the ranges of the X, Y , Z , and time data to save in the selected region. Then set any other output details.

  6. Choose which wavelengths of the input data to process and include in the output data set.

  7. To scale the output data according to the current minimum and maximum intensity scale factors, click Scale to Display Min/Max. (Scaling only works when the output data type is 16-Bit integer or 8-Bit).

  8. Click Do It to save the file.
