To select filters and exposure times:

Select new filters and exposure times as follows. Alternatively, you can update the filter and exposure settings to those last used in the main Resolve3D window.

  1. Manually acquire images of your specimen and adjust acquisition parameters and settings until you are satisfied with the images.

  2. On the Resolve3D window, click the Experiment Icon_Experiment.jpg icon to open the Design/Run Experiment Window. Under the Design tab, click the Channels tab.

  3. Choose the number of filters to use by selecting the toggle buttons next to each set of filters. On each row, select a filter from the EX Filter list (the Emission Filters, ND Filters, and exposure times are automatically updated when you select an EX filter).

  4. In the Exposure field, specify the exposure time (in seconds) to use for this wavelength
    -or-
Leave this field blank to use the exposure time specified in the main Resolve3D control panel.

  5. In the EX Filter field, select the excitation filter to use for this wavelength. The Exposure, EM Filter (emission filter), and %T (percent neutral density filter transmission) parameter that are set for this excitation filter in the Resolve3D window are automatically selected.

  6. To change the default emission and neutral density filters, select new filters in the EM Filter and %T Filter fields.

  7. Under EX and TRANS, select which shutter to use for each channel of the image. When the EX shutter is used, the light passes through the EX filter before it reaches the specimen. When the TRANS shutter is used, the light comes from the Halogen lamp.
