To set the Scale Bar:

The Scale Bar is the line in the Image window that indicates the scale of the image. You can set the length, position and appearance of the scale bar by changing the Scale Bar Attributes settings.

1. From the Image window menu, choose Options | Display to open the Display Attributes window.

2. Under Scale Bar Attributes, select Displayed to show the scale bar on the image.

3. Click Move. Then use the mouse to drag the scale bar to a new position.

4. Set the following attributes of the Scale Bar:

   To display a vertical scale bar, click Vertical.

   To set the length, enter a value (in microns) in the Length field.

   To set the color, choose a color from the Color list.

   To change the thickness, enter a value (in pixels) in the Thickness field.
