To transfer files:

Note Use this procedure to transfer files from an Acquisition workstation to an Analysis workstation.

  1. From the Acquisition workstation, double click the gFTP desktop icon. (If this icon does not exist, click the Gnome Footprint and drag and drop the Programs | Internet | gFTP icon to the desktop. then double click the icon.)

  2. Browse to the local data directory in which you have data files to transfer. (You can manually type in the path and then press Enter. You can also use the option list to find recent selections. Just press Enter after making a selection.)

  3. In the Host: field, enter the IP Address of the Analysis workstation. (The GE Healthcare default address is displayed in this image. If you do not know the IP Address of the Analysis workstation, you will need to determine it. Like the local directory selection, you can find recently used values for most of the server fields by using their respective menus.)

  4. Leave the Port: field blank.

  5. In the User: field, enter a valid username for the Analysis workstation.

  6. In the Pass: field, enter the password that corresponds to the username.

  7. In the extreme right side selection box next to the Pass: field, verify or select FTP.

  8. Click the Connect button (the button with two computers).

  9. Browse to the directory on the Analysis workstation that you want to move the files to. (To create a new directory on the Analysis workstation for your destination files, select Make Directory from the Remote menu. To compare directory contents between the local and remote directories, select Compare Windows from the Tools menu.)

  10. Select the files that you want to transfer. (You can select multiple files by holding down the Ctrl key while clicking on the file names.)

  11. Click the arrow icon pointing toward the remote file list to transfer the files. (During the transfer, the progress is displayed in the middle pane of the gFTP window.)

  12. When you are finished transferring files, close gFTP.
