Interactive Volume Viewer Parameters

Use the Interactive Volume Viewer Parameters to control how the volume is displayed when you rotate it interactively. (Rotating an image interactively can help you to improve the viewing angle for rotation around a plane of interest.)

Open Interactive Volume Viewer Parameters by clicking Interactive on the Volume Viewer window.

Use

To...

Wavelengths

Select one or more wavelengths.

Current Angles

Specify the rotation angle (in X, Y, and Z). The values change as you move the cursor around in the interactive window (with the left mouse button down). You can also enter specific values for X, Y, and Z angles.

Reset

Return the angle values to 0, 0, 0.

Resolution During Move

Set the resolution of the image as it is rotated. (As you hold the mouse button down, the data is sampled more coarsely. When you release the mouse button, the image is rendered with full resolution.)

  • Best provides the best balance of resolution and performance for most applications.

  • Medium (the default value) sets the resolution so that the image moves interactively with reasonable performance.

  • Low provides less resolution but is faster and less memory intensive.

  • High provides higher resolution but is slower. (softWoRx reacts much more slowly when you click and drag the image.)
